Her World Golf Challenge Asian Series 2010

Competition
The tournament shall consist of one 18-hole round at Sentosa Golf Club, Tanjong Course, to be played on 5 August 2010 in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A and USGA and the local rules of the Sentosa Golf Club.

Eligibility
The tournament is open to all female golfers.
The Committee reserves the right to reject any entry without giving any reason whatsoever. The field will be limited to 124 players. Entries have been accepted from the first 124 eligible applicants received respectively.

Entries
1. The entrance fee is SGD288.00 per person. No refunds for withdrawal from the tournament are allowed, or in the event that the tournament is cancelled or rained-out.
2. Each flight, consisting of four (4) players, will be allocated two (2) buggies. No personal caddies are allowed on the course.
3. Entry forms without payment will not be accepted.

Format of Play
Double Peoria System
Golfers will play their normal golf and record the gross score for each hole. At the end of the tournament, the Organiser will select six Blind Holes, normally one Par 3, one Par 4 and one Par 5 from each nine. The System will then exclude these six selected holes and use the remaining 12 holes to compute the golfer's handicap using the formula:

Handicap = {(Sum of Gross for 12 holes) - 48} x 1.2

In addition, the Gimme Circle system applies. Once the ball lands inside the Gimme Circle, the player will pick up her ball, add a stroke to her score and proceed to the next hole.

Distance Measurement
All distance shall be measured in metres to the centre of the green, except for longest drive measurements.

Shotgun Starting Times
All participants shall commence play at 1.30pm. Please be seated at your assigned buggy by 1.15pm.

Scorecards
Please submit your scorecards with gross score per hole duly signed immediately upon completion of your round to the Sentosa Golf Club officials / Her World organising committee stationed at the Golfer's Terrace. Scorecards must be exchanged (player and marker) before commencement of the tournament. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Inclement Weather
In the event of inclement weather, whereby 50% of the participants are unable to complete their round, the competition shall be cancelled. The prizes shall be given away by means of lucky draw during the Prize Presentation Dinner.

Etiquette
Serious Breach of Etiquette
The following may be considered "serious breaches of etiquette" for this competition:-
1. Inconsiderate use of handphone during play
2. Verbal abuse of fellow competitor / official / staff
3. Intentionally distracting or offending fellow competitor
  
  Note: Any other "breaches of etiquette" not listed above will be dealt with by the committee on a case-to-case basis. Penalty: Disqualification

Ties
In the event of a tie for any place, the result will be determined under the Sentosa Golf Club count-back system.

Dress Code
Golf Course: Golf shoes, tailored trousers / shorts / skirts and collared t-shirt.
Dinner: Smart Casual

Prize Presentation / Dinner
All winners are invited for the dinner and prize presentation ceremony at the Grand Saloon after the Session. Prizes shall be awarded to the top players from each session, and the overall champion as the Grand Champion of the Her World Golf Challenge Asian Series. There will also be a lucky draw segment.

Tournament Director
All complaints, protests and disputes shall be referred to the Tournament Committee, chaired by the Tournament Director. The decision of the Tournament Committee is final.

Exclusion of Liability
The Organiser will bear no responsibility or be held liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by the participants during the competition or at the venue of the competition.

Clubhouse Attire
Proper attire must be worn in the Clubhouse. The following attire are not allowed :

The Club reserves the right to turn down anyone who is not properly dressed according to its requirements.
