It may have been the Great Singapore Sale but 280 women ditched their shopping bags for golf bags for one day and took to the greens of Sentosa's scenic Tanjong Course for the annual Her World Golf Challenge.
This year, winners of the regional Her World Challenge from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam joined the local challengers to compete for the Asian Series champion title.
It was a full-day affair with participants teeing off either in the morning or afternoon session. And just like in previous years and since its inception in 2006, most slots were taken up weeks before the event on June 26. With attractive prizes worth a total of $110,000 not to mention an attractive goody bag worth $300, the overwhelming response came as no surprise. For most ladies, it was also a chance to play and bond with their girlfriends at one of Singapore's finest courses.
After their round, participants were treated to a pampering session courtesy of Kerastase and Keraskin. With a free hair consultation plus a relaxing neck, shoulder, and arm massage and facial, it was indeed an indulgent experience for the ladies.
For some lucky and real good players, the day turned out to be a rewarding experience as they walked away with the top prizes including Toshiba laptops, Tag Heuer Monaco watches, Mizuno golf sets, Kerastase hampers, Silkair tickets and many more.
The day of golf culminated with a sumptuous buffet dinner, a fashion show of Puma Golf's latest collection and a lucky draw.
